70s Rare Signature Designer Poly Knit Fabric Peacocks By Maurice From China For Sale

Here’s your chance to own and create something from this ultra-rare Maurice fabric…

Maurice is one of many signature print designers from the mid-1960’s to early 70’s, to make a name for themselves (thanks to Count Pucci’s influence). Maurice’s designs (mostly dresses) were sold in high-end department stores all over the world and featured ethnic, floral, fauna and geometric designs with his name signed and hidden among the print. As far as I could determine, his prints were never available to the public in any form -making this 4.7 yards of fabric extremely rare! My guess is someone who worked for the company or the fabric creator got their hands on this and perhaps gave it to someone or held on to it for all these years (if you look closely at some areas throughout yardage, the print is slightly off from its color guidelines and perhaps this is why the fabric wasn’t used in manufacturing garments). The fabric features male peacocks lounging gracefully, with border trim floral print, all in a semi-neon pastel color palette. The overall condition is excellent, with only one tiny area of color lightening (see last pic) and no other flaws. Maurice designs usually came in either silk or nylon fabric, this one being a nylon knit, with light-to-medium hand (and super soft!).
