This lovely, artsy print dates from the late 1960s or early 1970s and comes in a blend of cotton and another fiber, probably polyester. It’s perfect for your prairie dress and CottageCore dreams–the palette from which Gunne Sax used to be made.
Length is 1 yard, 29 inches–plenty to make a small skirt or a top, or to add to another fabric in that Gunne Sax style of mixing prints.
It still retains its original sizing, so it’s a little bit stiff. It will soften up with use and/or a wash. It’s rather thin and could make a lovely, wispy garment.
This is true vintage fabric from an estate sale, and I don’t know its full history. My home is nonsmoking and pet-loving (though pets are kept away from the fabric closet). I don’t notice any odors or traces of pet on the fabric, but I can’t completely speak to its history. I have not washed it.
There’s no information on the selvedge.
